The daughter of Italian parents, I was born in Neuemburg, Germany, on January 21, 1972. I trained in Rome.
First at the Academy of Fashion, then at the Art Institute.
A key milestone in my artistic growth was the commission for two murals, one for the parish church of S. Giulia Biliart in Rome and the other for S. Bernardino Da Siena in Tivoli. These episodes would not be followed up, but they would raise the right questions throughout my long training period.
This mirrored the direction taken (scenography) at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, and a marked interest in highly artistic and artisanal manufactures (Gobelin, Zuber). Even the study of Byzantine art, as well as Gothic art, bears witness to the time when the question was always posed, emphasizing a field of design, architecture, and color.
At the age of 22, during a summer seminar on Iconography for Church Design, offered by the Il Baglio association, I met the artist Americo Mazzotta.
The encounter already had the seeds of a paternal and provocative friendship, which would initially lead to a change in my educational direction.
At the age of 27, I began my apprenticeship as a textile designer at Faro Disegni.
At the same time, I attended the Academy of Fine Arts and graduated in scenography.
I adopted art as a condition of life.
Upon my marriage, I moved to Paris, a city that embraced and welcomed me, with whom I forged friendships and working relationships.
My relationship with Nicol, the founder of the Garances workshop,
accompanied me as I met publishers and producers, leaving me with a great
heritage: know-how.
The encounter with Mr. Chalaye, until 2024 director
of the historic Zuber factory, was decisive and decisive for my artistic development.
The study of ceramics is of considerable importance for the development of my artistic language. Its relationship between form, color, space, and, finally, its relationship with light is not so important.
Between 2023 and 2024, an artistic methodology matured
which inscribed a pictorial language in its journey and its plots
based on the chromaticism of the material dictated by the encaustic technique.
This methodology, with its slow and meditative application, is more...
It adapts to a deep and contemplative gaze.
In this way, art reclaims its space.
By inscribing itself in a pictorial form that does not refer to a beyond, except to the place where it is placed.
